GOOD SHEPHERD PARENT ORGANIZATION (GSPO)

Good Shepherd Preschool has always been very fortunate to have a very supportive group of parents. Years ago, a group of these parents formed the Good Shepherd Parent Organization in an effort to aid the school in utilizing community resources and raising funds to supplement special purchases.

By joining the Good Shepherd Parent Organization, parents have opportunities to share special talents and gifts with the children and staff by volunteering in the classrooms. If working in the classroom is not an easy option, there are times throughout the school year, such as Photo Days and Sensory Screening, when parents can donate a few hours of their time. The Office can supply projects, book orders for example, that can be done at home.

The Good Shepherd Parent Organization meets monthly, and all parents of enrolled children are invited to attend. Committee chairmen will be responsible for accomplishing specific goals such as hospitality and fundraising.

Join the GSPO to get to know other parents and begin a practice of becoming involved in your child’s education.

Volunteers are required to check in at the Preschool office.

FIREFLY BOOK CLUB

The Firefly Book Club is an inexpensive source for children’s books. Order forms with deadline dates are placed in the children’s files. The forms are to be returned to the office with payments (checks only) made to the book club. The books arrive approximately three weeks after the orders are submitted. The Preschool also receives dividend points for each book ordered. These points help us expand our library with new literature.
